Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt doesn't want her daughter Raha to move out of her parents' house early in life, like herself. She recently told her mother Soni Razdan that while it was 'cool' of her to allow her and her sister Shaheen to leave their family home when they were just 23 and 27 respectively, she wouldn't allow Raha to do that.

"I was barely 23 when I moved out of the house. I’d be away on long shooting schedules, and sometimes you wouldn’t even know which city I was in. Now when I look back, I’m like, wow, it was very cool of you to let me do that so early on because that actually helped me come into my own," Alia told Soni as they sat down for a chat for the magazine, The Nod.

The 'Dear Zindagi' actor added, "That was a defining point in my life, and our relationship. But I do feel I left home too soon — and I won’t let that happen with Raha."

However, Alia's father, Mahesh Bhatt wants her to let Raha fall and learn from her mistakes. "Papa recently told me: 'If you don't let Raha fall down, it will be the biggest mistake you’ll make because she’ll never learn how to pick herself up,'" Alia told her mother.

While Alia was pregnant with Raha and was shooting for her debut Hollywood project 'Heart of Stone', she had sleepless nights thinking that she couldn't be a good daughter to her parents.

"When I was pregnant and shooting in London for Heart of Stone, I couldn’t sleep for three days because I felt so guilty about how maybe I wasn’t a good enough daughter,” recalled Alia, adding, "I don’t know if it was the hormones, but I remember this overwhelming feeling of love, care, responsibility, worry — all hitting me at once."

Soni Razdan mentioned that though Alia works on her mental health, there are days when she gets "anxious" about not giving enough time to her family. "There are days she feels anxious about not picking up my calls or giving us any attention," said Soni.

Alia Bhatt embraced motherhood on November 6, 2022. She shared the news with her fans in a heartfelt post on social media, that read, "And in the best news of our lives...our baby is here and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love- blessed and obsessed parents. love love love. Alia and Ranbir.”

Soni Razdan mentioned that Alia provides Raha with 'the best'. She said, "Alia’s position allows her to give her the very best—the best childcare, the best nurses, and the best toys. Alia knows her privilege and is grateful for it."
