CHSE Odisha HS +2 Result 2024: Science stream registers highest pass percentage

Odisha Class 12th Result 2024: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha on Sunday, May 26 released the Class 12 board exam results. This year, the pass percentage of the Science stream is 86.93% which is higher than the Commerce stream (82.27%) and Arts stream (80.95%). Odisha Class 12th Result 2024: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha on Sunday, May 26 released the Class 12 board exam results. Students can now check their scores at the official websites – chseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in.

This year, the pass percentage of the Science stream is 86.93% which is higher than the Commerce stream (82.27%) and Arts stream (80.95%).

The Odisha board CHSE plus 2 results 2024 are also available to the students through their HS school e-space and from Digilocker.

Announcing the Odisha Class 12 result date and time, the Council said that they are declaring the results of Arts, Commerce, Science and vocational streams on the same day this time.

A total of 3,84,597 students appeared for the Odisha board class 12 exams. The CHSE Odisha board exam for Class 12 was conducted at over 1,160 examination centers in the state.

Arts

A total of 2,37,750 students registered for the Plus Two Arts exam of which 1,90,429 passed. Out of 1,04,447 boys, 75,913 passed. The pass rate of boys in arts is 72.68 per cent. While 1,30,771 girls applied for their Class 12 exam of which 1,14,516 passed. Their pass percentage is 48.68%.

Commerce

A total of 26,089 registered for the Plus Two exam of which 21,308 passed. The pass percentage is 82.27%. Out of 9431 girl candidates in the Commerce stream, 8069 have passed while 16,466 boys appeared of which 13,239 have passed. The pass rate for girls in Commerce is 85.55 per cent while are boys at 80.40 per cent.

Science

As many as 1,16,630 +2 students registered for the exam of which 1,00,757 passed. Of them, 60,973 boys appeared while 52,567 passed. The pass percentage of boys is 86. 21 per cent. Similarly, 54,229 girls appeared of which 48,120 passed taking the pass percentage at 87.74 per cent.

After the announcement of the CHSE Odisha class 12 results, students who fail to clear the exams will be able to appear for the Odisha Board compartment exams.

In 2023, the overall pass percentage is 78.88%. A total of 1,81,869 students passed in Odisha Board Class 12 exams 2023 for arts stream. A total of 32,782 students got the first division while 32,461 secured the second division. A total of 1,16,179 students got the third division in CHSE Odisha +2 exam.

The students who do not clear these exams will be given an opportunity to appear for supplementary exams. Candidates have to score a minimum of 33 per cent to pass the CHSE Odisha +2 exams.

In 2022, the overall pass percentage for the Science stream was recorded at 96.12 per cent, 89.20 cent for the Commerce stream, and 82.10 per cent for the Arts stream. Last year, a total of 3,21,508 students in Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams appeared for the CHSE Plus 2 exams.
