Dengue cases on the rise in Bali: Tourists urged to take jab before visiting

With the rise in the dengue cases in the country, the Bali Government has requested that tourists compulsorily take a jab before visiting the islands here. A representative of the Bali Health Department stated that although dengue vaccination has not been made mandatory yet for the countrymen, all foreign travellers are requested to take it. Not just the local residents, thousands of tourists who come to Bali should also get vaccinated in order to curb the spread, the government evaluated. Many cases have been reported in Bali as well, but the Bali Government has no exact information if the foreign travellers have been affected by it or not. It has cafes, galleries, yoga studios, boutiques, museums and luxury resorts that make Bali a perfect destination for travel lovers.

A representative of the Bali Health Department stated that although dengue vaccination has not been made mandatory yet for the countrymen, all foreign travellers are requested to take it.

As many as five persons have succumbed to this fever and almost 4,177 people have been infected with the disease so far in Bali.

As complete prevention of this disease is not possible, the government has come up with the best way to control it by expanding vaccination measures. And as part of it, they have already begun distributing vaccines to local residents.

Not just the local residents, thousands of tourists who come to Bali should also get vaccinated in order to curb the spread, the government evaluated.

Dengue cases have risen sharply in Indonesia since the beginning of the year. Many cases have been reported in Bali as well, but the Bali Government has no exact information if the foreign travellers have been affected by it or not.

Bali Island is located in the western corner of Lesser Sunda Island, which has Java to the west and Lombok to the east. The southern tip of the island is ‘Denpasar’, the capital of Bali, which is one of Indonesia's 33 provinces.
