'Excited For England Series': Babar Azam Looking Forward To Upcoming Challenge

Pakistan will play 4 T20 games vs England ahead of the World Cup (X)

Led by Babar Azam, Pakistan won the series against Ireland 2-1 after losing the first game. Shaheen Afridi, in excellent form, was named the Man of the Series for his outstanding performance.

Now, Pakistan will face the world champions, England, in a four-game T20 series. This series would be pivotal for the inaugural T20 World Cup finalists, to go for the T20 World Cup that starts from June in West Indies and USA.

Pakistan has been in full preparation mode for the World Cup since the start of the year, beginning with special training at Kakul for the players. Shaheen Afridi was replaced as captain, with Babar Azam taking the leadership role.

Earlier, Pakistan tied a home series against a relatively weak New Zealand team 2-2, which drew significant criticism as they lost two games. Following this, Pakistan traveled to Ireland for another series.

Despite losing the first game to a weak Ireland side, which shares their World Cup group, Pakistan made a strong comeback to win the series 1-2.

Babar Azam to face World Champions Ahead of T20 WC

Babar Azam-led Pakistan is set to play a four-match series against defending champions England from May 22-30. This series will be a real test for Pakistan, revealing where they stand as a team.

Babar Azam has spoken positively about the upcoming series against England after the Ireland win.

In the upcoming World Cup, Pakistan is grouped with India, Canada, Ireland, and the USA. Pakistan will face India on June 9th at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
