An unfortunate accident unfolded during the annual Muslim pilgrimage of Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Eyewitnesses said that on Thursday, a lift crashed in building number 145 at Aziziya, opposite Jamia Bin Mehfooz, resulting in injuries to several Indian Hajj pilgrims.
Though the official confirmation is awaited, eyewitnesses said that many are feared to have lost their lives, with several others sustaining injuries, the extent of which remains unknown.
So far two residents of Bihar have lost their lives in the incident who have been identified as Muhammad Siddique (73) and Abdul Latif (70).
