Luka Modric—7: One of the most in-form players in the squad. The Croatian’s touch eluded Real Sociedad’s high press.

Arda Guler—8: Supreme composure on his clinical finish to score the lone goal of the game. Worked hard defensively which Carlo commented on post-game.

Brahim Diaz—5.5: Near invisible for large parts of the game but occasionally popped up with a burst of speed to inject some life into the Madrid attack.

Joselu—5: Very quiet night, utilizes mostly as a target man to break the press.
