Though the minor himself had been released by a Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) under parental monitoring soon after the accident, his bail was subsequently cancelled and he was sent to an observation home.
The minor has been booked under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
His father was charged for offences under Section 75 (wilful neglect of a child, or exposing a child to mental or physical illnesses) and Section 77 (supplying a child with intoxicating liquor or drugs) of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
