Former India cricketer S Sreesanth, member of India's 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup-winning teams, has made a big revelation. The ex-India pacer, whose place of birth is Kerala, revealed that he was called a Madrasi throughout his life. It is worth noting that Madrasi is a regional slur that is used for the natives or inhabitants of Southern India, mainly Tamil Nadu. Sreesanth made his India debut in October, 2005 during an ODI match against Sri Lanka in Nagpur. The pacer played across all the three formats for India, picking 169 wickets.

"All my life I have been.... I can say it. See anything below Bombay was more like Madrasi. I have been hearing it from the time I was playing Under-13 to Under-14 to Under-16 to Under-19. Then we had the Kochi (Tuskers Kerala) team and it was like playing for the country again," said Sreesanth on 'The Ranveer Show'.

On the same show, Sreesanth revealed that the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala team is yet to be pay his salary. The ex-India pacer was a part of the team as a player in 2011 edition of IPL. The team was terminated before the next edition.

"They have to pay a lot of money. They still haven't. You should get Muralitharan sir (Muttiah Muralitharan), you should get Mahela (Mahela Jayawardene) and in your show they will only tell you. McCullum was also there, and Jadeja," Sreesanth said.

"Please guys, BCCI has literally paid you, I think. Please pay us...anyway whenever you're paying, remember the 18% interest every year. I feel by the time my kid gets married, we will definitely receive the money (laughs). The team was supposed to be three years, and the team got terminated in the first year. I think no one has spoken about it. Even now when the players meet, they talk about it. Not a single international cricket is talking for it.," he added.
