'Taarak Mehta…' actor Gurucharan Singh finally reacts to his disappearance

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurucharan Singh, who went missing for nearly 25 days, has now opened up about his disappearance. In an interview, the actor shared that he is getting his legal formalities done at the moment. On April 22, Gurucharan Singh was supposed to catch a flight to Mumbai from Delhi; however, he did not board the flight and went missing.

Speaking to Times Now, Gurucharan Singh said, "My case is yet to get closed. Some formalities are done and some are left. Once that is taken care of, I will talk to everyone about this."

The 51-year-old actor, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular series 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', added, "When I had left, daddy had put a missing report. That hasn't closed yet. Once that happens, then I can talk."

Upon returning home, Singh told the police officials during the interrogation that he had left his worldly life and was on a religious journey. He stopped at Gurudwaras in many cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana, but later realised that he should return home, police said.

On April 22, Gurucharan Singh was supposed to catch a flight to Mumbai from Delhi; however, he did not board the flight and went missing. His phone number was active until April 24, through which multiple transactions were made, as revealed by a police investigation.

His father, Hargit Singh, filed a missing complaint on April 26, and an FIR was lodged under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
