Arsenal make the short trip to the Tottenham later today in the Premier League, where three points are vital for both sides' seasons.

With four Premier League games to go, Arsenal headed into the weekend top of the Premier League table and a little more comfortable after Liverpool suffered another blow in their title challenge midweek, but the Gunners are just one point ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. A little further down the table are Spurs, with the Lilywhites in need of three points to keep up their hunt for a top-four finish.

Arsenal enter the clash in fine form, with the Gunners beating Chelsea 5-0 in their last outing. As for Spurs, Ange Postecoglou's side haven't been in action since April 13, where they fell to a tough 4-0 loss away to Newcastle United. The last meeting between the north London rivals ended in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, with Son Heung-min scoring twice in a thrilling encounter.

So, with more than just bragging rights on the line, what could happen in the north London derby later today? Let's take a look.

We simulated Spurs vs Arsenal to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated both squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We predict that Spurs could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Davies; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, Son, Werner.

We predict that Arsenal could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Jorginho, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.

A fiery affair unfolded in the opening stages in north London, with both sides picking up three yellow cards each in the opening 30 minutes. Arsenal came closest when Kai Havertz stung the gloves of Guglielmo Vicario from Leandro Trossard's cross, but a moment of magic just before the break saw Spurs take the lead.

A one-two between Brennan Johnson and Pedro Porro on the right saw the latter break into space and send a cross towards Son in the box. The ball curled behind the striker, but some quick thinking saw the South Korean international meet the ball with a fantastic overhead kick that flew past David Raya and into the net.

Now a goal down, Arsenal seemed to increase a gear, with Vicario on top form early in the second half to keep the Gunners at bay. Gabriel Martinelli was introduced to try and give Arsenal the attacking spark that was missing, and in the 78th minute, the Brazilian levelled the score.

Martinelli's original curling effort from outside the box was well saved by Vicario, with the ball making its way out to Bukayo Saka on the right. The Englishman sent a cross back to the unmarked Martinelli in the box, and the Brazilian opted for power over placement this time, firing into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.

With the game level, tension started to rise, and Spurs were reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute when Porro picked up a second yellow card. Despite a few more chances falling either side's way, a winner never arrived as the clash ended all square.

EA FC 24 predicted final score: Spurs 1-1 Arsenal
