Archaeologists in Bulgaria have uncovered a remarkably well-preserved statue in an ancient sewer, believed to date back to the 2nd century AD.
Led by Dr Lyudmil Vagalinski, the team identified the statue as likely depicting the Greek god Hermes.
This find is the first of its kind in Bulgaria, discovered during their third day of excavations in Heraclea Sintica.
