Though Rashid has hammered by Dhoni in at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, the Afghanistan spinner was happy just to be able to play against the Indian cricket icon.
"Once Dhoni comes into the stadium anywhere around the world, it's a different kind of love. We're so lucky to be playing with him. We also get every bit of him in those kind of moments," Rashid said after the match.
The Afghan spinner was also full of praise for his teammates Shubman Gill and Said Sudharsan, who both scored a century each in the match.
"They were amazing, we love to see them batting, Gill and Sudharsan, two of the best innings we've watched. Happy to get a couple of wickets after two wicketless games, I had a back issue and some shoulder problem. Hoping to be 100% fit," Rashid said.
After the defeat, CSK find themselves in a tricky situation with regards to the playoffs race. With 6 wins and 6 defeats in 12 matches, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side has 12 points to its name and occupies 4th position in the points table. CSK can't afford to drop a single point from this position.
