Marcus Stoinis took a wicket on his very first ball on Saturday in Match 44 of IPL 2024 between LSG and Rajasthan Royals at Ekana Cricket Stadium. The LSG all-rounder, who earlier failed to add anything to the scoreboard, struck immediately after the Powerplay.

More significantly, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who became Stoinis’ victim.

Batting on 24 off 18 balls, Jaiswal saw a full delivery coming outside the off stump, which tempted him to go for a big slash. However, the ball only hit the toe-end of his bat, and Ravi Bishnoi made no mistake while taking the catch at deep point.

Immediately after, Stoinis laughed at Jaiswal's face, similar to what he did after the opener was involved in Ruturaj Gaikwad's run-out during India's series against Australia not too long ago.

Apart from Stoinis, Yash Thakur and impact substitute Amit Mishra were LSG's wicket-takers.
