Wedding gone wrong! Grooms discovers his wife is a ‘man’ 12 days after marriage in Indonesia

A 26-year-old man happily got married to what he believed was love of his life in Indonesia but was left devastated 12 days after marriage when he discovered that his wife was a man. As the two started planning their wedding, the scammer claimed that she did not have any family who would attend the wedding. After this, the couple decided to go for a modest wedding ceremony at the victim's home on April 12. What was more shocking was that she was not a woman but a man who has been cross-dressing since 2020. The police later informed the groom that the scammer had married him to steal his family’s assets.

A 26-year-old man happily got married to what he believed was love of his life in Indonesia but was left devastated 12 days after marriage when he discovered that his wife was a man.

In this bizarre incident, the groom had been dating the scammer for more than a year and even then had failed to discover that he was in a relationship with a man.

The man had disguised himself as a woman to scam money from the groom. The news left netizens shocked on Chinese social media platforms, as many of them wondered how the secret was not busted in the one year during which the couple had dated before getting married in April.

The husband hailed from Naringgul, which is a region on the island of Java. He had met a 26-year-old woman Adinda Kanza on a social media platform in 2023.

After the couple hit off online, they quickly agreed to meet each other in person. The victim said that the scammer projected herself as a devout Muslim and always wore a hijab which covered her entire face when they met.

He said that he was not bothered about the hijab and saw it as a sign of her devotion to Islam.

As the two started planning their wedding, the scammer claimed that she did not have any family who would attend the wedding. After this, the couple decided to go for a modest wedding ceremony at the victim's home on April 12.

The scammer also brought 5 grams of gold as dowry, however, the marriage was not officially registered by the couple.

How did the man find out about the scammer in the guise of a bride?

The man got suspicious about the bride 12 days after the wedding as he observed that she did not communicate with his family and wore her veiled attire even at home.

The bride also avoided intimacy with the groom as she gave various excuses ranging from menstrual cycle to feeling unwell.

He then found out that the bride was not an orphan and both her parents were alive. What was more shocking was that she was not a woman but a man who has been cross-dressing since 2020.

The scammer's parents also found that they were not aware of their “son-in-law”. The police later informed the groom that the scammer had married him to steal his family’s assets.

The scammer was arrested and is facing fraud charges and can face up to four years of imprisonment.
