She posted about the incident and her stranding on the tarmac on her Instagram account on Saturday. The airlines have clarified in a statement that the delay amounted to "12 minutes." She wrote, "New lows every day! No, ladder nor an airbridge. While we watch the 12:10 a.m. airport circus. Stranded @vistara #mumbaiairportterminal2."
A few hours later, Vistara said in a statement, "We confirm that the deboarding of Vistara flight UK 876 operating from Hyderabad to Mumbai faced a delay of 12 minutes due to an obstruction in aligning the step ladder with our aircraft."
The airlines further added, that the relevant authorities were immediately informed, and corrective measures were taken. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers due to the same."
Talking about her professional front, she is seen in a handful of movies like Ajeeb Daastan, Delhi 6, and Bajirao Mastani. Last year, she starred in the popular series Jubilee.
Her next endeavor is " Heeramandi : The Diamond Bazaar," a historical drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that also features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal. May 1st is when the web series is all set to release!
This incident happened only months after a nightmare at the airport for another star. In January, actor Radhika Apte talked about her experience at an airport when, due to a delayed aircraft, she and her fellow passengers were stuck within the aerobridge. The "Sacred Games" star posted images and videos to Instagram but did not identify the place or the airline.
Reportedly, television starlet Surbhi Chandna, who starred in Naagin 5, also accused low-cost airline Vistara of "mental harassment" earlier this year, claiming that one of the ground crew members mistreated her at the Mumbai airport and that her priority luggage was lost.
