Atleast six people people have been reported dead, and eight have been injured after a bus collided with a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway in Anand, at 4:30 am, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Jasani said.
Anand Fire Brigade also reached the spot, and took action, reported the ANI.

While the tyre was being repaired, the passengers had disembarked and were waiting in front of the bus, when the truck rammed from behind, reported TOI.
The injured are receiving medical treatment, an official told TOI.

According to reports by the Anand Rural Police Station, the accident took place in the vicinity of the Chikhodra village in the district. The bus that was headed towards Ahmedabad, had stopped on the roadside to repair a burst tyre.
While the tyre was being repaired, the passengers had disembarked and were waiting in front of the bus, when the truck rammed from behind, reported TOI.
The report also mentioned that five individuals died on spot, including the bus driver. Another person succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The injured are receiving medical treatment, an official told TOI.
