The 81-year-old president, who fumbled and stuttered during the debate, continues to hold his ground and is determined to successfully run for the November 5th presidential elections.
However, it comes at a time when the chorus among donors and other supporters calling for Biden to step aside has grown louder than ever before.
One faction is arguing that a pressure campaign urging the president who has been adamant he will not step aside to drop out would be a self-defeating nonstarter.

The 78-year-old Trump, who is the presumptive Republican Party candidate for the presidential election, clashed right from the start with Biden and by the end of the 90 minutes debate, gave enough fodder for serious editorials and opinions as well as memes on social media.
However, reports in the US media have indicated that President Biden has gone into a huddle with his family at Camp David Sunday to mull over his future and how to offset the negative press after his performance at the debate earlier this week.
The trip was planned before the debate. However, it comes at a time when the chorus among donors and other supporters calling for Biden to step aside has grown louder than ever before.
Leading columnists, such as Paul Krugman, Tom Friedman, Nicholas Kristof, Jonathan Alter and David Ignatius, have said that the chance of a diminished Biden losing to Trump is too high to risk.
Meanwhile, Biden's wealthy backers and their political whisperers are torn. One faction is arguing that a pressure campaign urging the president who has been adamant he will not step aside to drop out would be a self-defeating nonstarter. Another is calling for a middle-of-the road approach, saying party leaders should consider drastic steps only after the fallout from Thursday night is more closely examined.
Democrats are also conducting new polls and research, throughout the weekend and into early next week, in an effort to gain a better understanding of the political fallout, particularly in key contests that will determine whether the party can win back its House majority and maintain its narrow control of the Senate.

At Camp David, Biden and first lady Jill will be joined by their children and grandchildren. Reports say the trip is a timely reflecting for Biden to think about the future of his campaign, and is reminiscent of 2020 when the octogenarian's family helped him take the decision to run for the first time.
Source told NBC News that the Camp David gathering was not a formal family meeting. “Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought ... No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion," they said.
