Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat election: Returning Officer rejects nominations of four candidates

Srinagar, April 20: The nomination of four candidates for the Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary Constituency was rejected by the Returning Officer. This was done during the scrutinizing of the nomination papers of the candidates by the consituency’s Returning Officer, Syed Fakhrudin Hamid. During scrutiny, the nomination papers of four candidates were found deficient as per the extant guidelines of the Election Commission. Consequently, the nominations of these four candidates were rejected, leaving a total of 21 candidates in the fray. The nominated candidates include both males and females who are affiliated to various political parties as well as independent ones.

Srinagar, April 20: The nomination of four candidates for the Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary Constituency was rejected by the Returning Officer.

This was done during the scrutinizing of the nomination papers of the candidates by the consituency’s Returning Officer, Syed Fakhrudin Hamid.

During scrutiny, the nomination papers of four candidates were found deficient as per the extant guidelines of the Election Commission. Consequently, the nominations of these four candidates were rejected, leaving a total of 21 candidates in the fray.

The candidates can however withdraw their candidatures till 3.00 pm on 22nd April 2024 after which the poll symbols shall be allotted to the contesting candidates.

The nominated candidates include both males and females who are affiliated to various political parties as well as independent ones.
