The character of Goddess Sita is so sacred that no one can refuse it.
I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character.
She says, “I am aware that comparisons are bound to be made, and who isn’t afraid of comparisons?
Ask her if her social media presence can come in the way of her portrayal of the deity and she replies, “I can’t change people’s mindsets.

Sujay Reu on Shrimad Ramayan, comparisons with Arun Govil & reports of the show going off-air
While Nitesh Tiwari ’s directorial Ramayana , starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, has gone on floors, another adaptation of the Hindu epic is underway. Shri Ramayan Katha , directed by Abhishek Singh, produced by Prakash Mahobiya and co-produced by Sanjay Bundela, will feature influencer Anjali Arora , who also participated in Lock Upp , as Sita.Ecstatic about being cast as Sita in the film, Anjali shares, “I feel blessed to have been offered the part. The character of Goddess Sita is so sacred that no one can refuse it. Curious about why the director chose me, I asked him, and he said he had shortlisted a few actresses, including me. I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I was finalised last month, and since then, I have been watching videos, doing readings, and attending workshops. I will give my best to do justice to the character.”With two films based on the same Hindu epic, comparisons with the other actress are inevitable, and Anjali isn’t in denial. In fact, she is anticipating the comparisons. She says, “I am aware that comparisons are bound to be made, and who isn’t afraid of comparisons? However, if I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy.”Anjali has faced her fair share of trolling and controversies as an influencer. Ask her if her social media presence can come in the way of her portrayal of the deity and she replies, “I can’t change people’s mindsets. As an actor, I commit to every character I am offered with full conviction. Besides, we can’t stop trolls, as they believe they have the right to criticise us. My social media image has nothing to do with my acting and won’t affect my performance; I aim to prove myself instead of seeking validation from others.”
