Anne Hathaway open to working with Priyanka Chopra: “We discussed a few things…”

Hollywood actor Anne Hathaway has expressed her enthusiasm for working with Indian actor Priyanka Chopra. While there's no confirmed project yet, the actresses’ mutual interest has ignited hope for a future collaboration. Both Anne and Priyanka are global ambassadors for the luxury brand Bulgari. This chance association led to them meeting in Paris in 2022 alongside BLACKPINK member Lisa. The following year, they reunited with Zendaya joining the glamorous group.

The buzz began after Hathaway, a two-time Oscar winner, sat down for an interview with News18. While promoting her upcoming Prime Video film, The Idea of You, the conversation turned towards her Bollywood counterpart. When asked directly, Hathaway did not disappoint. She revealed that while they haven't solidified any plans, she's absolutely open to exploring the idea. “We discussed a few things that night, that one hasn’t come up yet but what are we going to do, this is a great idea, how do we make this happen?” Hathaway shared.

The interview took an even more exciting turn when suggested a fun spy film for the duo. Hathaway's response? “I would love that clearly and now my brain is on fire. I’ll let you know when Priyanka and I have connected,” she said.

Meanwhile, The Idea Of You, a romantic drama starring Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway and Red, White, & Royal Blue star Nicholas Galitzine, is set to premiere on Prime Video. Based on Robinne Lee’s 2017 eponymous novel, this Michael Showalter directorial delves into the intricacies of modern-day love, age disparity, and the search for happiness in the digital age.

An Amazon Original film, The Idea of You is jointly produced by Cathy Schulman, Gabrielle Union, Anne Hathaway, Robinne Lee, Eric Hayes, Michael Showalter, and Jordana Mollick. Besides Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, the romantic drama also stars Ella Rubin, Annie Mumolo, Reid Scott, Perry Mattfeld, Jordan Aaron Hall, Mathilda Gianopoulos, Raymond Cham Jr., Jaiden Anthony, Viktor White, and Dakota Adan in key roles.

The Idea of You is slated to premiere on Prime Video on May 2.
