That is some combination. On one hand, you have a winger who is regarded as one of Manchester United’s greatest-ever players and a record-breaking 100-meter runner who is one of the greatest Olympians of all time.
But Tony Cascarino is certain Benjamin Sesko fits in that mould and that he hasn’t seen a player like him, as he told talkSPORT (09/06/24 at 8:05 am).
The former striker backed Sesko to join either Chelsea or Arsenal by adding that he might be ‘raw’, but he ‘does fit that box’ when it comes to the type of number nine those teams look for.
The RB Leipzig forward joined the German club last summer and scored 14 Bundesliga goals in his debut campaign.
Ahead of Euro 2024, fans will be able to see a lot of Sesko because the Slovenia star will be in England’s group.

“He is 6ft 4in, 6ft 5in,” said Cascarino. “He is a big lad, powerful as well, and he can half dribble. For someone who is 6ft 5in, he runs with the ball unbelievably.
“He gets linked to being similar to Haaland, but if you watch him play, he dribbles, like Ryan Giggs. He will run at people and he will literally go around them. That’s the extraordinary thing he has got. I have not seen a 6ft 5in player play like him. I have seen him in wide positions. He is not as traditional as a number 9, but he can certainly go into a deep area and pick up the ball and he will go past people. You think ‘that’s not the norm’.
“You know when you first saw Usain Bolt and you used to think ‘6ft 5in and he is a 100-meter runner? How does that work? He shouldn’t be that big’. He is a bit like that in football. He shouldn’t be doing some of the things he is doing in games because he is eye-catching. Yes, he’s very raw. 20 or 21. Clubs are fighting for him because there is something unique about him as a player – you have to be more than a number nine and he does fit that box (on Arsenal and Chelsea wanting him).”

Sources have already told HITC that Arsenal and Chelsea are battling it out for Sesko’s talents, with the Gunners looking for a striker.
Arsenal brought in Kai Havertz from their London rivals last summer, and despite many questioning him, he scored 13 goals and proved a lot of people wrong.

Arteta and his players were still the second-highest goalscorers with 91 goals, but they are still keen on bolstering their forward line.
Ivan Toney has been much talked about and it will be interesting to see how he performs for England at the European championships because it could ignite something in those who are keen on him.
