Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya, who made his return to competitive cricket through the ongoing IPL 2024 season after a gap of nearly five months, seemingly looked in slight discomfort during his team’s away match against Punjab Kings at Mullanpur.

After completing the second over of his spell and the eighth over of the Punjab Kings innings, the all-rounder was on his haunches, thus prompting the on-field umpire to come check on him. Simon Doull also reckoned that Pandya was struggling with an injury.

Regardless, Hardik Panyda bowled another over in the innings a while later to assist the rest of his bowling teammates in Punjab Kings’ top-order collapse.

Earlier in the match, the cricketer scored 10 runs off six balls during the death overs of the Mumbai Indians innings after Suryakumar Yadav’s scintillating 78. Defending 193 runs to register their third win of the IPL 2024 season, his bowlers shattered Punjab Kings’ response with the early wickets of Sam Curran, Rilee Rossouw, Liam Livingstone and Prabhsimran Singh.
