BMCM was earlier scheduled to be released on Christmas 2023. The release date was later pushed to Eid 2024. Pre-booking sales had been initiated for April 10, 2024, but the film was pushed to the 11th of April on Monday in order to make the most of the Eid holiday across the nation. Its competitor Maidaan is holding paid previews on Wednesday, but Akshay Kumar and his team are opting for a direct release.

Eid is ideally one of the biggest festivals to mint money at the box office. Salman Khan has created many records with his annual releases during this season. This time, Akshay Kumar is coming up with a massy action entertainer. Unfortunately, the pre-release hype isn’t very favorable. In fact, there is hardly any buzz around the film despite Akki’s star power.
BMCM also stars big names like Prithviraj and Tiger Shroff. The trio should have been enough to pull the audience to the theatres, but that hasn’t been the case so far.

As per the latest update, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has added 44 lakhs (excluding blocked tickets) via advance booking on day 1. This is barely any growth compared to yesterday’s numbers of 15 lakhs. Ideally the pre-booking sales should have clocked the 1 crore mark but there’s still a long way to go.
Around 17,000 tickets have been sold so far. It is now time to see whether Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff Starrer will witness exponential growth in the next two days. Only then can one expect a decent opening number.
BMCM is also made on a staggering budget of 350 crores, and that’s another big reason to worry about. Given the current trend, the film may witness a huge loss at the box office.
