Joe Biden , whose mental health came into question, recently was ridiculed for allegedly 'wandering off' during a crucial G7 Summit moment on Thursday. The President of the United States was caught awkwardly moving away from the world leaders present there waiting to be clicked. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had to pull back the 81-year-old, suggesting that Biden forgot his way showing signs of his much talked about 'cognitive decline'. However, several people including the supporters of the incumbent leader have come forward to claim that it is a highly edited video.

According to a TikTok influencer Brainty Lercohen, the US President did not 'wander off', but was addressing a skydiver who landed on the other side. "He was just giving thumbs off to the dude who literally parachuted down the sky," the former remarked. The nearly 31-second clip went viral online with several claimed that Biden's memory was getting shorter with time. The supporter of the POTUS went on to accuse those sharing the video including the New York Post for 'narrowing' the frame of the footage.

The publication has been receiving criticism for its cover page featuring Biden as 'Meander in Chief' a day after the incident. Upon looking at the raw clip shared by pro-Democrat accounts on social media, it could be seen that another parachute indeed landed on the other side from where the G7 leaders were standing.

In the later part of the footage, Biden accompanied by UK's leader Rishi Sunak, Japan's Fumio Kishida, France's Emmanuel Macron, EU's Ursula von der Leyen, Germany's Olaf Scholz, Canada's Justin Trudeau and Melony posed to show unity. The clip that was previously circulated on the internet:

However, a few users have noted that there is no context in the 30-second film. According to Newsweek, the Republican National Committee and the campaign of former president Donald Trump appear to be behind the video on X (previously Twitter) as it was initially posted by an account under the name RNC Research.
