An anonymous Bitcoin donor has reportedly paid $520,000 for Julian Assange’s private jet following his release this week. The total cost was paid for through 8 BTC to help the WikiLeaks co-founder return home after a 14-year extradition fight with the US.
Assange was officially released from a Belmarsh prison in the UK on June 24th. The Australian editor reached a plea deal with the United States and was able to travel by private plane to Saipan, a US territory in the Mariana Islands. Anonymous Donor Gives $500,000 in BTC to Julian Assange After Release

In what is a miraculous display, one anonymous Bitcoin donor paid more than $520,000 for Julian Assange to travel by private jet. The donation allowed the now-free Assange to avoid further costs. The generous contribution allows the Assange family to increase their debt following a long and costly legal battle.

Just ten hours after posting, the 8 Bitcoin donation was given. The sum was enough to nearly clear the entire goal. Yet, Stella also received more than $380,000 in British pounds during the money-raising effort. The generosity will allow Julian to reunite with his family debt-free.
All eyes are now fixed on the entity responsible for the donation. Some on X (formerly Twitter) have speculated Andrew Tate was behind the sum. To this point, no one has come forward. Not enough information is currently available to pinpoint who could have contributed the cryptocurrency donation.
