Belagavi Centric –Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed gratitude for the approval of the Belagavi-Hunagunda-Raichur (NH748A) development.
However, he highlighted that the process of declaring 39 in-principle approved roads as National Highways has stalled and requested immediate action on this matter.

Today, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss the development of national highways and other critical issues in the state. He submitted a letter to the Central Government, urging the swift approval of various proposals.

The state government’s proposal included several important points:
Approval for constructing a flyover on old NH4 in Belagavi city.
A plan to provide a cable car facility at Gokak waterfall in Belagavi district.
Improvement of the road connecting Kittur town to Bailahongal.
Upgradation of 127 km of roads connecting Naragund through Gokak-Yaragatti-Manvalli from Sankeswar in Belagavi district
These road development projects have been proposed to ensure smooth traffic flow in the state.
