What Is Dry Eye Syndrome? Dry eye is a condition that impacts the tear film of the eye that covers and protects the eye surface. Any disruption in the tear film can cause uncomfortable symptoms like itching, blurred vision, watering, and burning.

6 Home Remedies To Soothe Itchiness And Promote Clear Eyesight Here are the tips that can help you combat dry syndrome:

Follow 20-20-20 Rule The 20-20-20 rule is considered quite effective in combating eye issues. Since we can’t do a lot about screen time, the least we can do is to follow the 20-20-20 rule. This rule implies, that after 20 minutes of screen time, take 20 seconds of break and look at a distance 20 feet away. Keep repeating the rule. Protect Eyes Against Direct Air Protect eyes (eye stroke causes symtoms) against direct air from sources such as fans, AC, blowers and heaters. Make sure that air vents are either placed behind or on the sides of your head and not directly on the face. Additional use of air humidifiers can also help minimise dry eye symptoms. Wear Sunglasses Use sunglasses to protect tear film in your eyes from drying out in the sun, smoke, dust and wind.
