'Congress Says Minority Has First Right Over Country's Resources, But We Say Poor...': Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that while the Congress believes the minority community has the first right over the country’s resources, the BJP holds the belief that the primary claim belongs to the poor, Adivasis, Dalits, and backward communities. “The Congress says the minority (community) has the first right over the country’s resources of the country, but we (BJP) say the poor, adivasis, Dalits and backwards have the first right over resources of the country,” the Union minister said. Attacking the Congress, Shah questioned Rahul Gandhi about the achievements for the poor people in Chhattisgarh during the four generations of his family’s rule in the country. Mahadev app brand Bhupesh Baghel government did not take action against Naxalites,” Shah said. Shah noted that in the last four months, 90 Naxalites were neutralised under the BJP government.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that while the Congress believes the minority community has the first right over the country’s resources, the BJP holds the belief that the primary claim belongs to the poor, Adivasis, Dalits, and backward communities.

The home minister made the comments while addressing an election rally in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker, in support of Bhojraj Nag, the BJP’s candidate for the Kanker Lok Sabha seat, where the polling is scheduled to take place on April 26.

“The Congress says the minority (community) has the first right over the country’s resources of the country, but we (BJP) say the poor, adivasis, Dalits and backwards have the first right over resources of the country,” the Union minister said.

In his rally speech, Shah stated that the Narendra Modi-led central government has eradicated terrorism from the country, while Naxalism is on the brink of extinction. He added that 123 Naxalites were arrested, and 250 surrendered during this period.

Shah further emphasised that under PM Modi’s leadership, Naxalism has been eradicated from various regions across the country, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, the home minister demanded the Naxalites to surrender, or else they would be rooted out from the state in two years.

“Elect Modi ji for the third term, the menace (of Naxalism) will be rooted out from Chhattisgarh in two years,” he added.

Attacking the Congress, Shah questioned Rahul Gandhi about the achievements for the poor people in Chhattisgarh during the four generations of his family’s rule in the country.

He also criticised Congress leaders for not attending the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram’s idol at the Ayodhya temple, suggesting they were prioritising their vote bank over religious sentiments.

“Narendra Modi ji has eliminated terrorism from the country while Naxalism is on the verge of an ending. Mahadev app brand Bhupesh Baghel government did not take action against Naxalites,” Shah said.

He was referring to the previous Congress rule and the alleged involvement of the former chief minister in the Mahadev betting app scam. After the formation of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai was elected as the chief minister, and Vijay Sharma became the state home minister. Shah noted that in the last four months, 90 Naxalites were neutralised under the BJP government.
