Trupti said that she was expected to finish the work assigned for a 12-hour shift in just 30 minutes and her work only started after the lead cast left the sets. Trupti mentioned that she would just stand around all day memorising her lines but would only get a chance to perform when the lead star cast had wrapped up for the day.

In an interview with Zoom, Trupti also shared that she would often be expected to deliver her dialogues without a proper script in hand. Talking about the challenges she faced while shooting for the film, she said, “When you are working with a star cast, it is obvious that first their work will be done, and they will go home. Then your work will start. So many times, it used to happen that in a 12-hour shift, all the cameras were on them. I was standing there, memorising my lines, and then they would leave. Then there would be the last half-hour of the shift left, and I was told, ‘Trupti, how much work has been done today for the film, do it in half an hour.’ Then I was like, ‘Alright, I’ll do it.'”

I have a masters degree in theatre, but that learning won’t help. The training you receive on set is different. You have to keep an eye all the time on which scenes you are in throughout the entire day. People won’t give you lines,” said the actor. She added, “You have to see how the other people delivered their lines and then decide how you have to reply to them in the same way. After Crew, I feel like I can work on any challenging set because I have been trained through this film for it.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Trupti Khamkar (@actortrupti) Crew is a comedy heist that also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma.
