Bhubaneswar: As monsoon advances , there is a rise in dengue cases across the state. The capital city has reported 43 cases, while the state has 288 cases so far. Last year, the city had reported around 4,000 dengue cases.The health and family welfare department is implementing measures to control and prevent the spread of the disease. City health officer Deepak Kumar Bisoyi said that an awareness campaign has started at the ward level.“From Monday, our vehicles will collect unused tires and cans from various locations. Aedes mosquitoes breed in clean water on hard surfaces, often aided by discarded ceramic waste. Residents should not throw broken ceramic pieces outdoor,” he added.
