IM Divya Deshmukh defeated WFM Sachi Jain comfortably in the penultimate round of FIDE World Junior 2024 Girls. Divya got a dominating position in less than 20 moves. She converted it for a full point in the next few moves. WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan (ARM) scored another win to stay in the Gold rush. She has virtually secured a Silver as she is just a half point behind Divya at 8.5/10 and a full point ahead of the rest. WGM Rakshitta Ravi and WIM Ayan Allahverdiyeva (AZE) are at 7.5/10 each. WGM Beloslava Krasteva (BUL) will be Divya's final challenge to win the tournament. Mariam will be up against Rakshitta.
