The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday sent a notice to the Shiv Sena (UBT) over the usage of the word “Bhavani” in its theme song, released last week to promote its new poll symbol of the ‘flaming torch’.
The Sena (UBT) theme song has visuals of party founder the late Bal Thackeray holding a flaming torch, and Shiv Sena workers, and Aaditya and Uddhav Thackeray holding rallies.
It also has the slogan “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji” being shouted in the background.
