The two actors were seen together after many years at the wedding reception of film producer Anand Pandit's daughter in Mumbai. This unexpected reunion saw them striking a pose for the paparazzi and sharing a hug, signalling the end of their long-standing differences.

In a candid conversation with News 18, Emraan Hashmi reflected on meeting Mallika Sherawat after years and revealed that their feud had been resolved long ago. He shared, "It (the meet) was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like that after I met her a couple of times after the release of Murder."
He further elaborated on the impulsive nature of their past disagreements, saying, "We were young and stupid at that time. There’s a phase in life when your decision-making power is so limited and you are just so impulsive. Some things were said by her, some by me; they were mean. I think it’s just bygones and we also kept that aside long back. It was very nice seeing her. She was very warm, I too was."

What Happened Between Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat?
The feud between Emraan and Mallika had been a topic of public interest for years. In a 2014 episode of Koffee with Karan, Emraan was asked about his best on-screen kiss, to which he named his Murder 3 co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. When asked about the worst kiss, he unhesitatingly mentioned Mallika Sherawat.
Mallika Sherawat also addressed the feud during her 2021 appearance on the Love Laugh Live Show with Mandira Bedi. Reflecting on the ego clashes she experienced with actors, she recalled the misunderstanding with Emraan during the promotions of Murder. She admitted, "It was so uncalled for and childish on my part, I’m no less." She added, "I lost touch with him and it’s really sad because he was a wonderful co-star because he’s so friendly and giving. He’s a nice boy."
