MTV Roadies has been quite a popular reality show on Indian television since the early 2000s.
In an interview with India Today, Raghu also shared how Roadies took a massive toll on his personal life, and led to his marriage falling apart.
Talking about creative differences with MTV, Raghu said, “I was done.
One was because MTV wanted to make the show a certain way, which I did not agree with.
But in the 9th-10th seasons, I found myself coming into conflict with MTV, because they wanted a certain populist kind of angle to it.”
MTV Roadies has been quite a popular reality show on Indian television since the early 2000s. While the show still enjoys some fan following, it has lost some sheen over the last few years. Now ex-judge Raghu Ram, who was a part of the show for 10 seasons, has declared that Roadies was over the day he and his brother Rajiv left it. In an interview with India Today, Raghu also shared how Roadies took a massive toll on his personal life, and led to his marriage falling apart.

One was because MTV wanted to make the show a certain way, which I did not agree with. Till 10 seasons, I had pretty much a free hand. But in the 9th-10th seasons, I found myself coming into conflict with MTV, because they wanted a certain populist kind of angle to it.”
