What is the Express Entry System? The Canadian immigration department uses the online Express Entry system to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. It covers three federal economic immigration programs:
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
What are the eligibility criteria for the Canadian Experience Class under the Express Entry System? The Canadian Experience Class is a permanent residency pathway for individuals who have already gained Canadian skilled work experience. The key eligibility criteria for the CEC include: Work Experience: At least one year of skilled work experience (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) in Canada in the last three years. Language Proficiency: Minimum CLB level 7 for TEER 0 or 1 occupations, and CLB level 5 for TEER 2 OR 3 jobs. Education: There is no specific education requirement for the CEC, but a Canadian degree, diploma, or certificate can help improve the CRS score.
