'Ghilli' re-release box office collection: Vijay's film is now the highest-grossing Indian film among other re-releases

Directed by Dharani, 'Gilli' featuring Vijay in the lead role was released in theatres in 2004, and the film was the Tamil remake of the Telugu film ' Okkadu '. Outperforming the original version, ' Ghilli ' transformed into a massive hit by grossing the first 50-crore Kollywood grosser. 'Ghilli' has occupied over 1000 screens worldwide for its re-release, and the film has retained most of its screens as it steps into the second week. In Tamil Nadu alone, 'Ghilli' has reportedly grossed around Rs 15 crore, and the makers have declared the film a highly profitable one.
