Google last week shared pointers on how Pixel smartphone users can click images of this year’s first solar eclipse , which took place on April 8. The company CEO Sundar Pichai has now shared three photos on his Instagram account “capturing the eclipse across North America”.“Awe-inspiring to see #TeamPixel capturing the eclipse across North America. Here’s a shot from a Googler in Jasper, Indiana.Can’t wait to see how far camera technology will come in 20 years for the next one,” he captioned his post.Google commemorated the solar eclipse with an animation, allowing users searching Google for the eclipse to witness a graphic overlay depicting the moment when the moon passes between the sun and Earth.Meanwhile, Elon Musk also shared two separate videos of solar eclipse.“Was cool to see the eclipse from Austin. ~27 years before it happens here again,” he said in one post.He also reported a video from Starlink , a satellite constellation owned by SpaceX – Musk’s other company.“View of the eclipse from orbit,” he said.NASA also shared a photo of the solar eclipse. “Today, April 8, 2024, the last total solar #eclipse until 2045 crossed North America,” it added.A total solar eclipse, a rare celestial event for most observers, occurred across North America on April 8. The eclipse began at 9:13 PM IST on Monday and lasted until 2:22 AM IST on Tuesday. The darkest part of the Moon's shadow, the umbra, touched down in the Pacific Ocean. While not visible from India this time, the next total solar eclipse observable from India will be on March 20, 2034.
