Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma involved in heated argument after DC game; Rohit Sharma intervenes

With tensions brewing in the MI camp, it has been confirmed that MI skipper Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma were involved in a heated argument after MI’s 10-run defeat against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This comes into picture after Hardik publicly criticised Tilak for his “lack of match awareness”. Hardik and Tilak fought after the (DC) game and was questioned about his attitude. Moreover, it has also been revealed that this fight led to the team bringing in former skipper Rohit Sharma into picture. Speaking about the Mumbai-based franchise, the Hardik Pandya-led side are reeling at the ninth place in the IPL 2024 standings.

The Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians (MI) are more or less out of the IPL 2024 playoffs race after their recent defeat which came against the Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on Tuesday, April 30. However, the team is having a dismal outing in the ongoing edition of the IPL, recent news reveal that there is a rift going on in the MI camp.

With tensions brewing in the MI camp, it has been confirmed that MI skipper Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma were involved in a heated argument after MI’s 10-run defeat against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This comes into picture after Hardik publicly criticised Tilak for his “lack of match awareness”.

“Massive news coming out of Mumbai Indians camp. Hardik and Tilak fought after the (DC) game and was questioned about his attitude. Whereas, the captain himself has been the biggest disaster,” sources close to SportsTiger confirmed. Moreover, it has also been revealed that this fight led to the team bringing in former skipper Rohit Sharma into picture.

“The extent of the fight went till the owners and some members and as expected Rohit Sharma was called upon to sort out everything. This team seems to be heading towards Chernobyl without RS,” the sources further added.

Speaking about the Mumbai-based franchise, the Hardik Pandya-led side are reeling at the ninth place in the IPL 2024 standings. Out of the 10 matches, MI has lost seven and has won only three. They will next take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 3.
