Shubman Gill has been released and sent back to India by BCCI.
After staying unbeaten in US-leg of the World Cup, the 'Men in Blue' will now head to the Caribbean for their Super 8 matches.
Meanwhile, Gill and Avesh Khan, who were part of the four-member travelling reserves, will return home.
The other two travelling reserves, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed, will remain with the team for the rest of the tournament.

As India concluded their group stage fixtures with three wins in four games in the ongoing T20 World Cup, speculation arose that travelling reserve Shubman Gill was sent back home due to a ‘disciplinary issue.’
Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra clarified that Shubman Gill's pre-planned return from the 2024 T20 World Cup had been wrongly sensationalised.
Rumours about the departure of Gill and Avesh Khan surfaced after the India-Canada match in Lauderhill, Florida, which was eventually washed out. Speculation circulated about the possible disciplinary issues involving Gill.
However, Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour dismissed these speculations after the washout, saying that the decision to send Gill and Avesh back was made before the tournament started.
Rathour explained that it was pre-decided that only two reserves would travel to the West Indies for the Super Eights.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra highlighted how unnecessary controversies had been created about Gill's return.
"A non-controversy that has been made into a controversy. I saw a poster claiming - 'Shubman Gill unfollowed captain Rohit Sharma.' "
"Below that, it was written - 'Removed from the squad. Shubman Gill has been released and sent back to India by BCCI. Disciplinary issues, he was not travelling with the team and was spending time away from the team," said Aakash Chopra on YouTube.
In an effort to clear the air, Gill posted a picture with skipper Rohit amidst the speculations.
