‘High as a Kite’: Internet mocks fatigued Donald Trump in Truth Social video

Former US President Donald Trump has become subject of online ridicule after posting a video on Truth Social in which he appeared visibly fatigued and struggled to keep his eyes open while aboard his private plane. In the clip, Trump, with a swollen face and tired eyes, addressed his supporters, saying, “I'm going to Cleveland, it looks like we're doing great in Ohio. We're doing great in just about every state we're in.”“Every poll number that's coming in is looking good, we're leading just about every poll on a national basis — on a swing state basis — and I'm looking forward to Thursday night,” he added. The video quickly caught the attention over social media , especially after vocal Trump critic and Editor-in-Chief of Meidas Touch, Ron Filipkowski, shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Dude’s so high tonight he can’t even open his eyes.” The post garnered a wave of mocking comments, with many suggesting Trump looked “high as a kite.”One user remarked, “He’s top up, that Adderall does wonders for being high if you don’t need it. The more you take the more you want, it’s very addicting.”Another user said, “Watch this without sound on and imagine he is saying he is guilty of all the crimes he's been charged with lol.”“Probably getting ready to claim pink eye to back out of the debate,” another commented sarcastically.Adding to the ridicule, one user said, “That Fox News poll really drove him into snorting more than BC powder.”The mocking comes amid ongoing tensions between Trump and President Joe Biden , especially regarding allegations of drug use . Trump recently demanded that Biden undergo a drug test ahead of their upcoming debates in June and September.Earlier in March, Trump accused Biden of being under the influence during his State of the Union address, saying, “I don't know what he's using, but that was not ... hey, he was higher than a kite, and by the way, it was the worst address I've ever seen,” Trump told Newsmax.Trump also referred to an incident from last summer when cocaine was found by the Secret Service at the White House, saying, “I think what happened, you know, that white stuff, that they happened to find, which happened to be cocaine at the White House, I don't know, I think something is going on there.”
