Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) general secretary Rajneesh Kimta on Sunday accused the top state BJP leadership of ruining the future of 15 politicians, including nine from the BJP, four from the Congress, and two Independents.
He said that by giving party tickets to six members who defected from the Congress and the three Independents to fight the bypolls, the BJP has disrespected its own leaders.
“BJP state president Rajeev Bindal and former chief minister and leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur should apologise to these leaders for imposing nine assembly by-elections.
These leaders should also resign from their positions and retire from politics for imposing avoidable bypolls in the state,” said Kimta, who was interacting with the media after congratulating Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Oak Over for the party’s stupendous performance in the July 10 by-elections.
