Huge rigging in Hyderabad seat, BJP may seek repolling: Madhavi Latha

HYDERABAD: BJP 's Hyderabad Lok Sabha candidate Kompella Madhavi Latha on Wednesday alleged that there was huge rigging in the constituency and hinted that she may seek repolling in some areas.Madhavi Latha accused the cops of being silent spectators despite her complaints about rigging in the constituency. Madhavi Latha said that the party has now asked her to campaign in Mumbai in the next few days. This time voting percentage has increased in the Hyderabad seat to 48% from 44% in 2019. The polling percentage in AIMIM strongholds such as Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta and Charminar did not cross 50%.In Goshamhal and Karwan, where BJP has sizeable votes, the polling saw an increase. But the varying voting percentage in some of the assembly segments in Hyderabad has left parties guessing.

"A win with the help of rigging is no win at all," she said. Madhavi Latha said that the party has now asked her to campaign in Mumbai in the next few days. This time voting percentage has increased in the Hyderabad seat to 48% from 44% in 2019. The polling percentage in AIMIM strongholds such as Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta and Charminar did not cross 50%.In Goshamhal and Karwan, where BJP has sizeable votes, the polling saw an increase. Madhavi Latha held back-to-back reviews on voting patterns after the polling was completed.BJP is also hopeful that more voting in Amberpet in Secunderabad will help the party with the Lok Sabha seat in the city. Amberpet has been a stronghold of the BJP which was earlier represented by party's sitting Secunderabad MP and also candidate, G Kishan Reddy.
