At 1 am, as they were watching TV and eating, Salman Khan came in.
He was also startled and he said ‘I am Salman Khan’.
Aayush said that he got a call from Arpita the next day saying that Salman wants to meet him.
When Salman asked him about his life, Aayush confessed that he wanted to be an actor.
“Salman asked me about my earnings.
Aayush Sharma, who is married to Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, recently opened up about the time when he met Salman for the first time and admitted that he was not making any money at the time but asked Salman if he could marry his sister. Salman was taken aback by this exchange at first but he gave his approval soon after. In a chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel Bharti TV, Aayush said that he and Arpita had been dating for a few months when he met Salman at Galaxy Apartments.
Aayush said that late one night, he was dropping Arpita back home when she invited him up for a movie and dinner and while Aayush was hesitant at first, Arpita asked him to relax. At 1 am, as they were watching TV and eating, Salman Khan came in. “He entered the house and I was standing behind him. And all I could think of was Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. He turned around and I immediately introduced myself, ‘Hi sir, I am Aayush Sharma’. He was also startled and he said ‘I am Salman Khan’. And after this I left,” he recalled.
Aayush said that he got a call from Arpita the next day saying that Salman wants to meet him. When Salman asked him about his life, Aayush confessed that he wanted to be an actor. Upon hearing this, Salman said, “Tumko acting aati nahi hai (You don’t know how to act). I wondered how he knew. I said I make nothing. My father sends me money and I am living off that. I said, yes there is money in the house but I don’t earn. He looked and Arpita and said ‘this guy is too honest’. He immediately said, ‘I like this boy, shaadi pakki’,” he recalled. Aayush said that until then, he had not even told his parents that he was dating Arpita but soon after, everything fell in place. Arpita and Aayush got married in 2014. They are parents to son Ahil and daughter Ayat.
