Pressure will be mounting on Babar Azam to help Pakistan bounce back and resurrect his form, given that his sluggish knock of 40-odd runs at a strike rate touching on perfectly favourable batting conditions were the root cause behind the loss in Texas. (Image Source: ICC)

In the 1992 ODI World Cup, former Pakistani skipper Javed Miandad was left irritated by Indian wicket-keeper Kiran More's constant chatter behind the stumps. After loosing his cool, he started imitating More by jumping on the crase with his bat held horizontally in a hilarious exchange. (Image Source: Twitter)

The two teams engaged in an epic clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the quarterfinal of the 1996 World Cup. Ajay Jadeja's blitzkrieg against Waqar Younis was succeeded by Venkatesh Prasad's memorable duel with Aamir Sohail as the home side ousted Pakistan by 39 runs. After hitting Prasad for a four, Sohail pointed to the boundary to indicate that he would do so again, only to get knocked over in the following delivery by the Indian pacer. (Image Source: Twitter)

Gautam Gambhir was often at the center of attention whenever India took on Pakistan. It resulted in an argument between them and the umpires had to intervene to settle the situation. (Image Source: Twitter)

Although this incident didn't happen in a World Cup encounter, it deserves a mention here. Gambhir was again involved in a fiery situation when he gave it back to a jubilant Kamran Akmal during the drinks breaks of the Asia Cup 2010 final in Mirpur. Akmal had apparently been constantly appealing whilst Saeed Ajmal bowled, and it frustrated Gambhir who decided to confront the Pakistani opener and the then captain MS Dhoni had to cool the duo thereafter. Kamran Akmal wasn't going to be the one to take things lying down, and it became prevalent again when he uttered a few words to speedster Ishant Sharma in the dying embers of a T20I in December 2012. Ishant replied by dismissing Akmal soon afterwards, but Pakistan capped off a successful tour by recording thumping wins in both the T20I and ODI series that they played. (Image Source: Twitter)
