According to a report by Reuters, at least five rockets were fired at the military base.
The attack was carried out using a rocket launcher mounted on a small truck, which later caught fire in an explosion from unfired rockets.
As per Iraqi army officer, the truck was apparently hit in an airstrike, possibly by US forces.However, Islamic Resistance - Kataeb Hezbollah said it has issued no statement in the past 48 hours.
The group also said that the news circulating in the media is a fabricated story released by Reuters.
