Kannada actor Yuva Rajkumar and his wife Sridevi Byrappa filed for divorce.
Following the allegations, Sridevi Byrappa shared a statement on her Instagram account stating that she has remained silent and maintained dignity so far.
On January 11, Sridevi broke her silence regarding the divorce by sharing a statement on her Instagram page with the caption, "Truth always prevails."
Sridevi, in her notice, mentioned that the Rajkumar family forcefully sent her to the US to pursue higher studies.
Yuva Rajkumar is the son of Raghavendra Rajkumar and Mangala.

Sridevi's lawyers sent a notice to Yuva where he had been accused of having an extra-marital affair with a co-star of his for the past year. The notice also mentions that Sridevi was subjected to mental harassment and cruelty.

Her statement read, "It is very unfortunate and hurtful to see a person who is supposed to maintain professional decorum is yeilding into character assassinating a woman in public with no truth in it. I am deeply disappointed with how this has been handles specially given the false narrative (sic)."
She further wrote, "I completely remained silent and maintained my dignity inspite of all that I went through in the last few months. But they did this. I continue to trust that truth and justice will prevail (sic)."

Yuva Rajkumar's lawyers also alleged that Sridevi transferred a sum of Rs 3 crore from Dr Rajkumar's Academy and bought over 20 properties, misusing the academy's funds. She was also accused of having an affair with her friend.
Sridevi, in her notice, mentioned that the Rajkumar family forcefully sent her to the US to pursue higher studies. She is expected to return by the end of this month to attend the hearing on July 4.
Yuva Rajkumar is the son of Raghavendra Rajkumar and Mangala. He is the nephew of late Kannada actor, Puneeth Rajkumar. Yuva married Sridevi on May 26, 2019. Their wedding was a grand affair with celebrities like Yash, Chiranjeevi, Rashmika Mandanna and several other marking their presence.
