(Photo: K Sudhakar/ X)Former minister and Chikkaballapur BJP candidate K Sudhakar was on Thursday booked for allegedly asking IAS officer Munish Moudgil to release Rs 4.8 crore cash seized by the Election Commission (EC).
In a complaint, Dasharath V Kumbar, a member of the Static Surveillance Team (SST), said, “Around 11.44 am on 25th April, I received a message from Model Code of Conduct (MCC) officer Munish Moudgil that Rs 10 crore was kept at a place… When EC officials along with Income Tax officers raided Madavara village under the Chikkaballapur constituency, they found Rs 4.8 crore cash kept for distribution among the voters.”
