'Kingmaker' Chandrababu Naidu's TDP Bargains Plum Cabinet Posts In NDA Government: Sources

Ahead of the oath taking ceremony and government formation, the NDA partners put their demands on the portfolio distribution. TDP is set to get three cabinet positions and one MoS seat in the NDA government , sources told Times Now. After today's NDA meeting in Parliament's Central Hall in Delhi, TDF chief Chandrababu Naidu will return to Andhra Pradesh. Apart from the TDP, Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) may also seek a cabinet post and one MoS berth as well. Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi might also seek one cabinet berth as NDA cabinet formation is set to take place in the coming 2-3 days.

New Delhi: After Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) failed to secure majority in Lok Sabha Elections and with support of its National Democratic Alliance ( NDA ) allies, its is all set to form government. Ahead of the oath taking ceremony and government formation, the NDA partners put their demands on the portfolio distribution.

TDP is set to get three cabinet positions and one MoS seat in the NDA government , sources told Times Now. In wake of the portfolio distribution of NDA government , whose tally has risen to 303 after small parties and independent candidates who won, joined the coalition, the Telugu Desam Party, which is bringing 16 Lok Sabha seats, is set to get four ministries in the government.is set to get three cabinet positions and one MoS seat in the, sources told Times Now.

After today's NDA meeting in Parliament's Central Hall in Delhi, TDF chief Chandrababu Naidu will return to Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu will hold an important meet on Saturday in Vijayawada over cabinet formation and in the meeting, names of ministers, cabinet portfolios and other details to be discussed.

Notably, BJP, according to Times Now sources, is likely to keep key portfolios with them as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is preparing to form its government at the Centre for the third consecutive term. As the demands are coming in from allies regarding cabinet berths, the BJP is likely to keep Home, Finance, Railways, Defence, Information and Technology, Law and the Ministry of External Affairs.

According to Times Now sources, certain demands are coming in from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janata Dal (Secular), and Janata Dal (United) regarding a few ministries. However, sources said that the saffron party is clear on the fact that they will not let go of top key ministers.
