Kriti Sanon Exposes Dark Side Of Bollywood, Breaks Silence On Losing Roles To Nepo Kids: “I Was Getting Frustrated…”

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon started her career as a model and then moved to acting. She is currently basking in the success of Teri Baatoin Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew. However, the journey was difficult, as she recently revealed frustration over losing roles to star kids. Kriti made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti opposite a star kid, Tiger Shroff. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kriti Sanon revealed she lost several films to nepo kids.

Kriti made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti opposite a star kid, Tiger Shroff. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her career progressed with films Luka Chuppi, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Dilwale, and more. The actress even won the National Award for her stellar performance in the comedy-drama Mimi.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kriti Sanon revealed she lost several films to nepo kids. She recalled being ‘restless’ and ‘frustrated during that phase of her career. The Crew star said, “There was a phase where I was just very restless because I knew that I had way more potential than what I could portray in the opportunities that I had in front of me.” Sanon explained that she wanted something substantial to showcase her talent. The Crew star said, “I wanted something where I could just show my potential as an actor way more.”

The Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya star continued, “I was getting frustrated because I was like, I know I can do it; I know I can kill it, but I don’t have it in front of me.”

Kriti Sanon also mentioned how she saw some star kids sweep off movie roles at that point in her career without much effort. She said, “At that point, I was also seeing some new faces, some of them belonging to the film background, coming in having not done anything and getting opportunities that I was like, how.…”

Currently, Kriti Sanon is one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood, and in 2019, she was on Forbes’ India’s Celebrity 100 list. She has ventured into production with her house, Do Patti. On the professional front, her film was released on March 29 and is currently running in the theatres.
