Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live Updates: The stage is set for the counting of votes to decide the fate of over 8,000 candidates in fray from the 543 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 general elections. As per the Election Commission of India, a record-breaking 64.2 crore voters, including 31.2 crore women, participated in the Lok Sabha elections overseen by 68,000 monitoring teams and 1.5 crore polling and security personnel in the world’s largest electoral exercise.

At stake is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bid for a third term, a feat that will equal Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of three consecutive terms as PM. On the other hand is the Congress, hoping to stage a comeback after successive defeats in the last two general elections. The counting of votes is scheduled to begin at 8 AM on Tuesday, June 4 and the first trends should be available soon after.
